Senior Tax Accountant

We are currently seeking a Senior Tax Accountant with 1-3 years of tax preparation experience in public accounting. The successful candidate will be a CPA or CPA candidate and will have interest or experience in tax preparation for privately-held companies, non-profit organizations, individuals, trusts and estates.

• Prepare complex federal and multi-state income tax returns for individuals, partnerships, corporations, and trusts.
• Conduct tax research and apply findings to client situations to ensure compliance and identify planning opportunities.
• Assist with tax planning and advisory projects in collaboration with managers and partners.
• Communicate directly with clients regarding tax matters, deadlines, and required documentation.
• Support and mentor staff accountants through review and feedback.
• Assist with workflow and process improvements to enhance efficiency and quality within the tax department.

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field.
• CPA Candidate.
• 1-3 years (or more) recent tax return preparation experience in a public accounting firm.
• Excellent communication, analytical, and organizational skills.
• Ability to prioritize effectively, multi-task, handle multiple assignments and thrive with minimum supervision while performing under tight deadlines.

• CPA license.
• Experience with CCH products (Pro System fx Tax and Engagement).
• 401(k) Plan.
