Senior Tax Manager

Based in the DFW area for decades, we are a public accounting firm that's all about delivering top‑notch tax and accounting services with a personal touch. Due to growth and demand for our services, we're looking for a Tax Manager who's ready to roll up their sleeves, review complex tax returns, and lead our tax team to keep things running smoothly.

This role is all about hands‑on tax expertise and guiding the crew, with some client chats on the side.

• Dig into reviewing federal, state, and local tax returns (think corporate, partnership, individual) to ensure they're spot‑on.
• Lead a team of Tax Seniors and Associates, assigning tasks, giving feedback, and helping them grow.
• Tackle tricky tax research to solve technical issues and stay compliant.
• Streamline tax prep and review processes to keep things efficient.
• Handle occasional client questions on technical tax stuff, but focus on the work, not relationship management.
• Team up with partners to make sure our tax deliverables hit the mark.

• Bachelor's in Accounting or similar; CPA or Master's in Taxation is a big plus.
• Active CPA license (or EA / JD equivalent).
• 8+ years of tax experience, with a knack for reviewing complex returns.
• Diverse industry experience including real estate, construction, hospitality, healthcare, and more.
• Solid knowledge of federal and state tax rules (C‑Corp, S‑Corp, partnerships, etc.).
• Experience leading and mentoring a team.
• Comfortable with tax software (like CCH Axcess or Ultra Tax) and MS Office.
