Role OverviewThe Senior Accountant will manage day‑to‑day transaction recording, month‑end financial preparation, and multi‑entity consolidation for a dynamic portfolio of projects and partnership entities.
Responsibilities- Record day-to-day transactions and prepare month‑end financials for a multi‑entity company.
- Prepare consolidated financial statements for multiple project and partnership entities; multi‑entity accounting and consolidation preferred.
- Manage intercompany transactions and balance‑sheet reconciliations.
- Perform month‑end close processes including AP/AR reconciliations, bank reconciliations, revenue accruals, adjusting entries, project debt and tax equity accounting, job cost reconciliations, equity roll‑forward, and supporting schedules.
- Prepare financials for special‑purpose entities such as developer, construction, operating, tax equity, and sale/leaseback entities.
- Provide audit support and review existing accounting processes.
- Support project financing activities including financial schedules, cost‑to‑date tracking, and funding documentation.
- Prepare and review monthly sales and use‑tax filings across multiple states; assist with annual corporate tax filings (experience preferred).
- Coach and review work of junior accounting staff and manage ad‑hoc assignments and special projects.
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting required; CPA and/or public accounting experience preferred.
- 3–5 years of accounting experience, ideally in energy, construction, or real‑estate development sectors.
- Experience with multi‑entity accounting, consolidations, and intercompany accounting.
- Proficiency with accounting systems, Microsoft Office suite, ERP systems;
Sage Intacct experience is a plus; intermediate Excel skills (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables) preferred. - Strong verbal and written communication skills, including operational procedure documentation; high attention to detail and strong organizational/time‑management skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a flat, collaborative organization, multitask in a fast‑paced environment, work independently, and maintain confidentiality with discretion.
