Accounts Payable Specialist

Our client, a reputable Commercial General Contractor based in McKinney, is seeking an Accountant / Accounts Payable Specialist to join their growing team. • Manage accounts payable process, including invoice entry, coding, approvals, and payments.
• Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.
• Maintain accurate financial records and assist with month-end closing processes.
• Collaborate with project managers and internal teams to ensure proper cost coding and budget alignment.
• Support payroll, accounts receivable, and other accounting functions as needed.
• Prepare and maintain financial reports and assist with audits.

• 3+ years of experience in accounting or accounts payable, preferably within the construction industry.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
• Proficiency with accounting software (experience with Sage, Viewpoint, or similar systems preferred).
• High attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and financial reporting.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a deadline-driven environment.
