Description:

Contractor Sales — We are looking for a knowledgeable and customer-focused Contractor Salesperson to join our hardware store team in Dallas, Oregon. You enjoy building strong relationships and helping contractors get the right materials for the job.

• Build and maintain strong relationships with contractors and professional customers
• Assist customers with product selection, pricing, and special orders
• Prepare quotes, bids, and take-off support for contractor projects
• Coordinate with purchasing and yard staff to ensure timely order fulfillment
• Follow up on orders to ensure accuracy and customer satisfaction
• Stay knowledgeable about products, vendors, and industry trends

• High School Graduate or Vocational School Graduate
• At least two years’ experience in building materials/hardware industry
• Sales and marketing experience with retail programs, establishing relationships, and working with customers
• Knowledge of retail computer systems, MS Word, and Excel is a plus
• A commitment to service excellence and customer satisfaction
• Solid team player with excellent interpersonal skills
• Excellent communication skills, exceptional organizational ability, high attention to detail, and ability to multi-task
• Ability and willingness to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays to meet the needs of the business

• Able to independently lift up to 100 lbs on a frequent basis
• Able to stand for up to 8 hours a day
• Standing, stretching, squatting, lifting, crouching, kneeling, and other awkward positions
• Climbing and descending ladders
• The yard environment is characterized by noise, vehicular fumes, and other elements found in a yard environment. Exposure to varying weather conditions including temperature extremes and precipitation
