Requirements
  • Minimum eighteen (18) years of age
  • Minimum one (1) year experience TIG welding steel, aluminum, and stainless steel (NOT MIG). Applicants with less than one year TIG weld experience, but who have completed an accredited welding program are encouraged to apply
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Experience with reading and interpreting complex blueprints to produce acceptable parts

Job Duties
  • Set up and operation of TIG welding equipment for thin gauge sheet metal, weld metal parts according to work orders, blueprint layouts and verbal instructions
  • Produce prototype and production runs of parts
  • Maintain accurate record keeping of settings from precision control panels or power packs for repeat applications
  • Clean parts to remove contamination prior to welding
  • Set up and operate all phases of welding applications using clamps, fixtures and torches working to specified tolerances
  • Use inspection gauges such as calipers, pin gauges, tape measure, etc.
  • Follow blueprints to meet product specifications and maintain tight tolerances
  • Change weld cups, electrodes and any other tooling to maintain quality and production standards
  • Maintain tools, gauges and equipment in a clean, orderly and safe manner
  • Work closely with department supervisor and management to achieve production goals of the department
  • Lift up to 50 lbs. of materials
  • Accomplish work with minimal supervision
  • Comply with company policies and procedures paying special attention to safety regulations
  • Any other duties as assigned
Wage, Hours and Benefits
  • $17 to $24, depending on experience
  • Typical schedule is Monday through Friday 8:00 am - 4:30 pm. Occasional overtime (up to 55hrs worked per week)
  • Paid time off after 90 days. Paid vacation after 5 years of employment. Eligible for 401k w/employer match after one year.
  • Holiday pay for New Year s Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day
