Ac Engineer

Mobile Air Conditioning Engineer (Installation & Maintenance) Mobile role covering commercial sites from Edinburgh to St Andrews Salary: £45,000 DOE + OT paid at 1.5x

Responsibilities

• Carry out installation, servicing, and PPM on split systems, multi-split systems, and VRV/VRF equipment

• Diagnose faults and complete reactive repairs efficiently to minimise downtime

• Work on chillers and refrigeration equipment where required

• Replace components including compressors, motors, sensors, and control boards

• Ensure all work complies with F-Gas regulations, Health & Safety standards, and manufacturer guidelines

• Complete job sheets, service reports, and compliance documentation accurately and on time

• Maintain clear records of refrigerant usage and parts replacement

• Liaise professionally with clients and provide excellent customer service

• Support junior engineers and work collaboratively with the wider engineering team

Requirements

• City & Guilds or NVQ Level 2/3 in Air Conditioning & Refrigeration (or equivalent)

• F-Gas Category 1 (2079) certification

• Valid CSCS card and full UK driving licence

• Proven experience within commercial HVAC and refrigeration environments

• Experience with chillers, split systems, and VRV/VRF units

• Skilled in brazing and metal component repair

• Strong fault-finding skills and ability to work independently
