The role? We are looking for a Caretaker to support the facilities team in ensuring that day-to-day operations at Dalkeith Country Park run smoothly. You will carry out small maintenance, repair and decorating jobs, ensure toilets and public areas are maintained to a high standard and help set up meeting rooms and event spaces. Working an average of 35 hours per week on a 4 days on, 4 days off basis, your shift will start at 7.30am and finish at 6.30pm.

You may also be asked to provide additional cover which may include the occasional night shift.

The person? With strong practical maintenance skills, you will be customer focused with a ‘can-do’ attitude and flexible approach to work. Candidates must have experience in a similar role dealing with a variety of repair and maintenance issues, and be comfortable carrying out manual tasks. A full UK driving licence is essential.
