As from 1/4/26, the Agenda for Change full-time working week will be reducing from 37 to 36 hours per week. Part-time hours will be reduced pro-rata. There will be a corresponding increase in the hourly rate so that pay is not affected.

This post requires the post holder to have the PVG Scheme membership/record. If the post holder is not a current PVG member for the required regulatory group (i.e., child and/or adult), an application will need to be made to Disclosure Scotland and deemed satisfactory before they can begin in post.

Due to legislative changes from 1 April 2025, this post may require a different level of criminal records check than is currently the case. Responsible for the assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of psychiatric nursing care to patients/clients, both during planned work and in response to crises, seeking appropriate assistance from medical and other staff as required. This will include liaison with other services and the collation/dissemination of appropriate information. As senior nurse, the post holder is responsible for the smooth running of the shift and management of the associated workload and workforce.

RMN Qualification.

Post-registration experience in acute mental health with experience of risk assessment.

A formal post-registration qualification or equivalent experience is desirable.

The Intensive Home Treatment Team operates between and 7 days per week. The postholder is therefore expected to work shifts within these hours.
