Our client is offering a senior leadership opportunity within their highly regulated financial services environment, this role places people, quality, and regulatory integrity at its core. The position offers the chance to shape standards, lead a specialist team, and influence how AML review activity is delivered across the business.

Duties for this role include, but are not limited to:
  • Hold line management responsibility for the AML Review Team, overseeing performance, quality, and development.
  • Lead AML quality control and review activity across individual and corporate customers.
  • Provide expert technical guidance on AML/CFT/CPF matters, including PEP and high-risk cases.
  • Support onboarding, periodic reviews, and trigger‑event checks in line with GFSC requirements and internal procedures.
  • Identify, document, and escalation AML breaches, trends, and areas of non‑compliance to appropriate governance forums.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives, contributing to automation, policy enhancement, and process optimisation.
  • Support regulatory reporting obligations and actions arising from inspections or reviews.
  • Contribute to management information, dashboards, and reporting for senior stakeholders.
  • Provide training, coaching, and internal consultancy on AML matters across the business.
  • Support delivery of AML‑related projects and system enhancements.
Skills / Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years' experience within financial services or insurance, with extensive practical expertise in AML/CFT/CPF frameworks and GFSC AML Handbook requirements. Proven line management experience is essential, along with strong analytical and communication skills. An ICA Certificate or Diploma in AML is desirable but not mandatory, alongside strong proficiency in Microsoft 365 and workflow tools.
