Our client is seeking a Temporary Receptionist to provide full-time cover from 16 March to 2 April, with initial training from 16‑18 March and full cover from 23 March‑2 April. The role operates either 8:00am‑5:00pm (40 hours including 1 hour lunch) or 8:30am‑5:00pm (37.5 hours including 1 hour lunch), and requires availability across all specified dates!
Duties for this role include, but are not limited to:- Opening and closing the reception area securely each day.
- Operating the switchboard and directing incoming calls professionally.
- Greeting visitors and managing visitor records.
- Receiving and distributing incoming post.
- Stamping and preparing outgoing post for collection, including courier coordination.
- Preparing and maintaining meeting rooms, including refreshments and presentation.
- Providing ad hoc administrative support and data input as required.
- Liaising with facilities support and internal teams to ensure smooth daily operations.
The ideal candidate will be professional, organised and confident operating in a front‑of‑house environment. They will demonstrate excellent telephone manner, strong communication skills and the ability to manage responsibilities independently while maintaining a high standard of service. Candidates must be available for the entirety of the dates outlined above. Availability to continue on a reduced half‑day basis (1:00pm‑5:00pm) from 7‑10 April would be advantageous but is not essential.
