Our client is looking to recruit a friendly and organised receptionist/telephonist to support their front-of-house operations on a part-time basis, working 25 hours per week, Monday to Friday, across a mix of set mornings and afternoons. An attractive opportunity for someone friendly and organised who enjoys people-facing work alongside administrative responsibility!

Location Duties for this role include, but are not limited to:
  • Greet patients on arrival and direct them to consulting rooms as appropriate.
  • Answer and manage incoming telephone calls, dealing with enquiries efficiently and courteously.
  • Book patient appointments using the in-house computerised GP system.
  • Take repeat prescription requests and process them via the system where required.
  • Receive patient payments and record transactions accurately on the billing system.
  • Manage patient queries and direct requests to relevant clinicians or team members.
  • Assist with travel vaccinations administration and invoice preparation.
  • Update and maintain patient records accurately on internal systems.
  • Support secretarial and administrative tasks, including scanning, document editing, correspondence, and certificates.
  • Complete general office duties such as photocopying, post handling, shredding, and stock ordering.
  • Assist with completion of blood test forms and basic medical document preparation during quieter periods.
  • Adhere to confidentiality, data protection, safeguarding, and health and safety requirements at all times.
Skills / Qualifications

The ideal candidate will be friendly, organised, and comfortable working in a patient-facing environment. Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage competing demands are essential, along with basic IT competence and a flexible approach to working hours.
