A compelling opportunity to join a highly regarded operations team where accounting accuracy truly matters! This role combines technical trust accounting with meaningful responsibility across financial reporting and statement preparation.

Location Duties for this role include, but are not limited to:
  • Maintain general ledger records and prepare management accounts.
  • Post cash entries and journals to nominal ledgers.
  • Prepare loan interest calculations and reconcile bank and loan accounts.
  • Reconcile bank balances and other ledger accounts.
  • Calculate and accrue company expenses.
  • Assist with the compilation of management accounts.
  • Support the preparation of annual trust and company financial statements.
  • Transfer trial balance information into financial statement templates.
  • Prepare trust and company accounts in accordance with applicable legislation, as delegated by the Team Leader.
  • Prepare supporting working papers and evidence balances within financial statements.
  • Assist with auditors  queries and audit processes.
  • Undertake annual review processes for entities for which accounts have been prepared.
  • Liaise with other departments within the Group as required.
  • Support additional accounting or operational duties as requested.
Skills / Qualifications

The ideal candidate will be educated to A' Level standard with accounting subjects and have relevant bookkeeping or accounting experience, including preparation of financial statements. Training towards a recognised accounting qualification such as CA, ACCA, or ICAEW is required, alongside a solid understanding of accounting standards and strong Excel reporting skills. A proactive, organised, and reliable approach is essential, with the ability to work to deadlines under moderate supervision.
