Bid Manager, Engineering

Escape Recruitment is supporting a well‑established engineering organisation in Dunfermline to recruit a Commercial Bid Manager. This role will suit someone who enjoys bringing structure to complex proposals and working across technical and commercial teams to shape winning tenders.

You will take ownership of the bid and quotation process, helping to ensure proposals are well‑structured, commercially sound and delivered to deadlines.

• Managing bids, tenders and quotations from initial enquiry through to submission
• Creating bid plans, schedules and ensuring key deadlines are met
• Working with engineering, operations and commercial teams to gather inputs
• Preparing and maintaining costings, pricing models and commercial summaries
• Engaging with suppliers and partners to obtain supporting information
• Supporting internal reviews and approval processes
• Improving bid tools, templates and ways of working
• Keeping bid activity and pipeline information up to date
• Supporting ad hoc commercial and estimating activity as required

• Previous experience in a bid, tender, proposals, commercial or estimating role
• Comfortable working with numbers, pricing and cost breakdowns
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines
• Confident working with technical teams and commercial stakeholders
• Background in engineering/manufacturing
• Strong Excel and general MS Office skills
