The University of North Georgia is currently accepting applications for a Case Manager on the Dahlonega campus. The Case Manager serves as a non‑clinical advocate and coordinator for undergraduate and graduate students s role requires sound judgment, compassion, and a student‑centered approach to addressing referrals and coordinating care. Located on the Dahlonega campus, the Case Manager supports students across all six UNG campuses, including online learners, and reports to the Associate Dean for Student Care and Outreach.
Responsibilities- Manage a student support caseload of mild to elevated level concerns, providing individualized care, tailored intervention, and consistent follow‑up to students, and referring parties.
- Facilitate referrals to on‑ and off‑campus services for students who face complex, hardship, and/or unforeseen circumstances such as academics, death of a loved one, financial, emotional distress, and other related concerns that could affect their ability to be successful at UNG.
- Provide advocacy for students, ensuring their needs are communicated and addressed.
- Consult collaboratively with UNG offices and personnel, community organizations, and family members to assist students; develop collaborative partnerships.
- Create and sustain campaign efforts to educate faculty and staff on how to support students of concern.
- Deliver proactive messaging and educational outreach to promote student well‑being, mental health awareness, academic resources, best practices, and more.
- Maintain student case files in Maxient, ensuring case notes and records are maintained in accordance with university policies and federal and state regulations.
- Assist with data analysis to identify and assess evolving issues impacting student success and the effectiveness of intervention models and resource delivery.
- Familiar with support services within a higher education or community setting to assist students/client.
- Master's degree required.
- Minimum one (1) year of experience working with student issues in areas such as Residence Life, Orientation, Advising, Student Counseling, or Case Management.
- Master's Degree in social work, higher education, counseling, public health, public administration, student affairs, etc. preferred.
