Job Summary

Campus Recreation & Wellness at the University of North Georgia is currently accepting applications for the position of Game Room Attendant. This student staff member is responsible for maintaining a safe, inclusive, and welcoming environment within the Game Room by providing excellent customer service and upholding facility standards. Campus Recreation & Wellness offers a healthy, friendly work atmosphere that prioritizes student development and accommodates academic schedules.

Uniforms are required. All positions are subject to semester GPA and conduct checks. We are committed to supporting the academic and personal success of students and will refer team members to campus support resources as needed.

Responsibilities
  • Oversee the Game Room, during shifts, as assigned.
  • Provide excellent customer service to all patrons by greeting and assisting those using the game room.
  • Promote a welcoming, inclusive, and respectful environment.
  • Ensure University and Campus Recreation and Wellness policies and procedures are followed.
  • Communicate urgent needs as necessary with the Facilities Coordinator.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
  • Must have a basic understanding of video game platforms (Play Station, Xbox, Nintendo Switch).
  • Must have a background in PC gaming and Esports.
  • Have good communication skills
  • Must be able to do basic technical troubleshooting.
  • Ability to maintain a clean and organized gaming space.
  • Be able to learn new games, systems, or software quickly.
  • Must have current CPR, First Aid, and AED certifications (or obtain within 30 days of employment).
  • Must maintain minimum 2.50 GPA and be enrolled in a minimum of 6 credit hours.
Required Qualifications
  • Must be enrolled at the University of North Georgia in a minimum of six (6) credit hours to qualify as a student worker.
