Job Summary

The University of North Georgia is currently accepting applications for an Outdoor Adventure Program Staff
- Institutional Student Worker, for January 2026 until May, 2026. UNG Outdoor Adventures provides memorable experiences for the UNG community through Outdoor Trips, Pine Valley Ropes Course, Outdoor Equipment Rental, and our Indoor Rock Climbing Wall. Our Program Staff are critical members of the OA team and have responsibility of helping students at UNG create impactful experiences in the outdoors. The position will be able but not guaranteed to work all areas of Outdoor Adventures, final work hours will be based on availability, experience, and staff needs.

As a public institution, the university's ability to cover such costs is subject to budgetary constraints and state funding policies. Therefore, while we remain committed to supporting international faculty hires, we cannot guarantee payment of any newly imposed or increased visa-related fees.

Responsibilities
  • Lead student trips in various outdoor disciplines. Trip leaders are responsible for the safety and wellbeing of all trip participants.
  • Facilitate high and low ropes elements for a variety of ages and programing goals.
  • Assist in student equipment rentals, preparing rental orders and organizing and repairing used equipment.
  • Facilitate climbing wall operations and assist with special climbing and bouldering events.

Required Qualifications
  • Must be enrolled at the University of North Georgia in a minimum of six (6) credit hours to qualify as a student worker.
