The University of North Georgia is accepting applications for an Administrative Assistant III to the Honors Program an Leadership Foundry. This position equally supports the UNG Honors Program and the Leadership Foundry. The incumbent will work directly with the Honors to coordinate meetings, organize conference travel and reimbursements for students and HP Directors, schedule Honors course sections, and manage Honors student enrollments in Banner.
The incumbent will also hold primary responsibility for coordinating the Student Honors and Awards Day ceremonies across three campuses as well as offer administrative support for the Summer Honors program. The incumbent will also support the development of the Leadership Foundry, offering clerical, administrative, and budget support as well as helping in data collection and social media presence. Between the two programs, the incumbent will provide budget planning and management for 2 state budgets, 5 foundation budgets, and several scholarship budgets.
The incumbent should be willing to travel between campuses and available to work some evenings and weekends related to special events and meetings.

Responsibilities- Serves as first contact for Honors and Leadership Foundry Programs. Updates and maintains website, social media, general emails, phone messages, and printed materials (i.e. newsletters and promotional materials). Provides administrative support to the Dean as well as the Directors of the Honors Program, Leadership Foundry, and Ascend: A Summer Honors Experience
- Performs budget planning, purchasing, and management 2 state budgets, 5 foundation budgets, 1 agency account, and several scholarship budgets. Works closely with staff, students and faculty in both the Honors and Foundry programs to allocate funding for travel, secure travel authorization and processes reimbursement post travel. Supports Honors Program scholarship allocation process.
- Facilitates the scheduling of courses for honors curriculum and academic programs in collaboration with the appropriate departments; enrolls Honors students in honors sections as necessary. Assists in updating and maintaining records for both current students and alumni.
- Supports Leadership Foundry efforts to track and assess leadership competency development across all campuses.
