We do this by aligning the voice of our small business members with advocacy for change in federal policy that will make the government market more accessible to small businesses and the commercial technology ecosystem. The Channel’s founding Technical Board Members include former government leaders and IT executives passionate about bringing best-of-breed technology to the government.

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Senior Computer Systems/Software Engineer to join our team!

Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, and integrate complex hardware and software systems for Navy weapons programs, including SM-2, SM-3, SM-6, and ESSM missile systems.
  • Perform computer hardware engineering, software design, coding, compilation, and systems/software integration using tools such as HTML, C/C++, Unix, Linux, and VxWorks SMP.
  • Manage computer or software requirements, system specifications, and interface development for missile internal interfaces and vertical launch systems.
  • Apply systems engineering principles and software/hardware development expertise to ensure reliable, real-time operational performance.
  • Provide technical leadership, analyze system performance, and develop solutions for complex Navy weapon system programs.
Qualifications
  • A Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in an engineering, scientific, or technical discipline.
  • Ten (10) years professional technical experience which includes at least five (5) years specialized experience performing computer hardware engineering, software design, coding and compilation of code; computer or software requirements management, computer systems or software integration; and utilizing systems engineering software tools.
  • Specialized experience shall also include demonstrated ability to engineer complex systems with integrated software and hardware solutions.
  • Experience related to weapons systems or Navy programs and HTML, C/C++, Unix, and Linux.
  • Specialized experience with development of Real-Time VxWorks Symmetric Multi Processing (SMP) software.
  • Expertise related to hardware and software development for Standard Missile (SM)-2, SM-3, SM-6, and Evolved Sea Sparrow Missile (ESSM) missile internal interfaces, such as experience with SM-3 Kill Warhead Data Link (KWDL), SM-3 Missile Test Data (MTD), SM-2/Sm-6 initialization message digital interface, and vertical launch system.
