Cydecor is seeking a Senior Security Systems Engineer to support cybersecurity and systems engineering for U.S. Naval warfare systems. The ideal candidate will lead complex.
Handler Capture & Authorization (A&A) efforts, develop secure architectures, and ensure compliance with DoD cybersecurity policies and Risk Management Framework (RMF) standards. This position involves working closely with engineering teams to safeguard mission‑critical systems, evaluate vulnerabilities, and deliver validated cybersecurity solutions.
- Author DoD Assessment and cynical & Authorization (A&A) artifacts.
- Document systems from a cybersecurity perspective using Microsoft Office tools, including MS Word, Excel, and Visio.
- Derive, document, and/or identify system Concept of Operations (CONOPS) for Mission Assurance Categorization in accordance with DoDI 8500.2.
- Lead the research, recommendation, and documentation of logical and physical solutions that prevent, detect, and correct vulnerabilities in systems to be certified and accredited.
- Research and apply Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs) and National Security Agency (NSA) recommendations.
- Identify and resolve discrepancies between system specifications, security requirements, and DoD security policies to achieve compliance.
- Plan, develop, execute, and document results of cybersecurity test procedures.
- Analyze and test Naval warfare systems against known vulnerabilities using current hacker techniques and exploits.
- Serve as the Information Assurance Officer (IAO) and focal point for all security matters related to assigned information systems.
- Prepare and execute Information Assurance Vulnerability Management (IAVM) Plans.
- Develop and maintain the System Security Administrator and Operators Manual (SSAOM).
- Lead the effort to obtain Authorization to Operate (ATO) and resolve findings related to Interim Authorization to Operate (IATO).
- Provide technical expertise for system security requirements, risk assessments, and compliance verification.
- Experience:
- 7+ years Submarine‑Launched Ballistic Missile (SLBM) experience and prior experience using the SSP Validator handbook. ളുടെ

- 5 years program specific security engineering experience working with Navy afloat/tactical combat systems.
- OR
- 10 years general security engineering experience.
- Comprehensive understanding of computer security, military system specifications, DoD cybersecurity policies, and System Security Plan (SSP) CSSE. Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience executing all aspects of the Systems Engineering Technical Review (SETR) process.
- Proficiency with Risk Management Framework (RMF), Platform IT (PIT), and implementation of cybersecurity and boundary defense technologies (Firewalls, IDS/IPS, Routers/Switches, Cross Domain Solutions, HBSS, etc.).
- Demonstrated experience developing secure network architectures, engineering documentation, and applying Model‑Based Systems ток.
- Minimum of 5 years engineering experience on Aegis, Ship Self‑Defense System (SSDS), Zumwalt, or other Navy afloat tactical combat systems.
- Must hold or be able to obtain IAM/IAT Level II certification or higher and/or Navy Qualified Validator (NQV) certification, as appropriate.
- Privileged Users must have IT‑1 designation with a final adjudicated T‑5 investigation, and complete OS/Computer Environment (CE) training within six (6) months of hire.
