The Channel's founding Technical Board Members include former government leaders and IT executives passionate about bringing best‑of‑breed technology to the government.
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Senior Systems Administrator to join our team!
Responsibilities- Manage, configure, and maintain hardware, operating systems, networks, and COTS software to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
- Perform system backup and recovery, software management, security management, and troubleshooting of hardware/software/network issues.
- Allocate resources, tune system performance, and support system design and installation activities.
- Ensure compliance with DoD Directive 8140 and maintain required IAT Level 2 (or higher) certification in system administration and information security.
- Maintain IT-1 level designation in JPAS and adhere to all applicable Department of Defense security protocols.
- Ten (10) years of hands‑on technical experience with system backup/recovery, basic software management, security management, network management, operating computer systems, sizing, performance tuning, installation, configuration, and maintenance of hardware; operation systems and Commercial Off The Shelf (COTS) software; hardware/software/network design, troubleshooting, and resource allocation.
- Must meet Department of Defense (DoD) Directive 8140 or superseding documentation requirements:
Information Assurance Technicians (IAT) Level 2 or higher under specialty area 45 – System Administrator, certification in current Operating Systems and Information Security, and IT-1 level designation in Joint Personnel Adjudication System (JPAS).
