Position: Systems/Network Engineer with Security Clearance
Overview SYSTEMS / NETWORK ENGINEER (RDTE) Bowhead is seeking a Systems/Network Engineer in Dahlgren, VA. The Systems/Network Engineer is responsible for maintaining multiple computing environments by identifying network requirements; installing upgrades; monitoring network performance, and managing network configuration consistency. The Systems/Network Engineer will provide engineering, design, and implementation solutions for multiple network architectures. Responsibilities
* Must have a strong background in Network switching and TCP/IP protocol analysis.
* This position requires strong communication skills and strong technical writing capability.
* Implement local area networks (LAN), wide area networks (WAN), intranets, extranets, & other data networks.
* Experience with network routers and switch configuration experience. Environment includes Artysen, Cisco, Mellanox and Asante switches.
* Develop and execute test plans to check infrastructure and system performance.
* Perform network modeling and analysis.
* Define diagrams and designs for business technology initiatives.
* Enforce policies for standardizing systems. Qualifications
* Three years of experience in networking, IT, or other related fields preferred
* Familiarity with researching communication networks
* Must have strong troubleshooting and critical thinking skills
* Strong attention to detail, good documentation skills, ability to write clear, concise project reports
* Ability to function with minimal instruction or supervision, or as a part of larger team reporting to formal project management
* CompTIA Security+ CE Certification or qualify for IAT Level II Physical Demands:
* Must be able to lift up to 10-15 pounds
* Must be able to stand and walk for prolonged amounts of time
* Must be able to twist, bend and squat periodically SECURITY CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS:
Must currently hold a security clearance at the Secret level. US Citizenship is a requirement for this contract.
