Job Description
ECS seeks a Basic Cost Analyst to support the Missile Defense Agency in Dahlgren, VA
.
- Work primarily remote, with on-site support required 3-6 times per month or as requested by the customer to maintain strong face‑to‑face engagement and awareness of day‑to‑day operations.
- Collaborate with team members and supervisors on assigned projects and activities.
- Deliver high‑quality analytical products with a strong emphasis on accuracy, thoroughness, and timeliness.
- Develop a deeper understanding of the organization while strengthening core analytical skills.
- Assist with cost estimating and cost analysis efforts under general supervision.
- Support sensitivity, risk, and uncertainty analysis activities.
- Follow established procedures and coordinate effectively with stakeholders.
- Apply foundational analytical and statistical techniques to solve routine cost analysis challenges.
- Prepare and provide Analyses of Alternatives, Business Case Analyses, and mid‑term and far‑term architecture planning studies.
- Analyze Contract Performance Reports (CPRs) and Cost and Software Data Reports (CSDRs) formerly CCDRs and incorporate data into cost estimates.
- Develop Cost Models and articulate results both in written form and verbally.
- Conduct Cost Research Studies.
- Conduct budget analysis and budget formulation.
- Active DoD Secret Security Clearance or the ability to obtain a clearance.
- BA/BS in Related Field from an accredited institution.
- Proficient with MS Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
- BA/BS Degree in Mathematics, Engineering, Finance, or related field.
- Experience with the Automated Cost Estimating Integrated Tool (ACEIT).
