The Quality Specialist provides hands‑on execution and support of inspection and quality system activities within manufacturing operations. This role focuses on inspection execution, documentation accuracy, and system discipline, supporting AS9100 and ISO 9001 requirements using SAP, High QA, QT9, and related systems. Practical experience and inspection competence are critical for success in this role.
PrimaryDuties & Responsibilities
- Perform and support inspection processes, including dimensional and visual inspection, and accurate interpretation of results against drawings and specifications
- Generate and support NCRs, MRB documentation, and CAPA records
- Assist with AS9102 FAI packages and PPAP documentation
- Maintain accurate quality records within SAP, High QA, QT9, or similar systems
- Support risk identification activities, including contributing data to FMEAs
- Maintain controlled documents and inspection records in compliance with AS9100 and ISO 9001
- Support internal audits, customer audits, and supplier quality activities
- Assist Quality Engineers and Managers with data collection, trend analysis, and reporting
- Participate in continuous improvement, corrective action, and containment activities
- Communicate inspection and quality findings clearly to production and management teams
- U.S. Citizenship required due to ITAR/EAR-controlled technical data
- 3–5 years of experience in inspection or quality roles within manufacturing
- Demonstrated ability to:
- Execute and interpret inspection results
- Support CAPA activities
- Understand risk management and FMEA concepts
- Support PPAP and AS9102 FAI
- Strong ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and GD&T
- Experience using inspection tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges; CMM exposure preferred)
- Experience with SAP, High QA, QT9, or similar systems preferred
- Injection molding, machining, or extrusion experience preferred
- Manufacturing floor and inspection areas
- Monday – Friday, standard business hours
- High interaction with production teams
