Nurse | Cypress, Texas

A nursing role is available at a busy Diabetes and Endocrine Clinic located in Cypress, TX. This position operates under a contract arrangement and provides an excellent opportunity for an RN with ambulatory care experience. The clinic sees approximately 90-140 patients daily, with 8-11 providers working simultaneously. Working alongside both nursing and medical assistant teams, the selected RN will support a large faculty including 32 attending physicians (not all full-time) and 12 fellows.

Schedule/Hours:

• Monday through Friday
• Options for shifts: 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM or 7:30 AM to 6:00 PM (rotating schedule with 4 days/week)

Responsibilities:

• Administer basic immunizations and pulse assessments
• Manage insulin administration and hyper/hypoglycemia patient care
• Assist with back-office tasks such as triaging calls, prior authorizations, lab result communications, symptom evaluations, and preparing school forms/letters
• Collaborate closely with medical assistants and providers to ensure continuity of care
• Utilize electronic medical records to document patient care, preferably with EPIC system familiarity

Desired Experience & Qualifications:

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Experience in ambulatory care or outpatient clinical settings
• Knowledge and confidence managing patients with diabetes and endocrine disorders
• Familiarity with EPIC electronic health record system is a strong asset
• Ability to perform patient education related to insulin and glucose monitoring
• Strong communication and organizational skills
