This position provides leadership to the Operating Room (OR) department, overseeing daily operations, managing departmental staff, and collaborating with the interdisciplinary team to deliver high quality, patient‑centered care.

• Manage the daily operations of the OR department, forecast and ensure adequate staffing, respond to departmental calls, plan for continuity of care, and serve as the charge nurse when required.
• Collaborate with physicians, management, and business partners to address strategic initiatives and organizational goals.
• Participate in interdisciplinary evaluation of programs and process improvements to achieve desired client‑centered and organizational outcomes.
• Consider the diverse needs of each patient throughout the continuum of care, ensuring the highest level of service and optimizing the patient experience.
• Ensure adequate scheduling and staffing, recruit, retain, and develop staff, provide performance feedback, and participate in staff performance reviews.
• Adhere to regulatory and Texas Board of Nursing standards, as well as Memorial Hermann policies, procedures, and budgetary specifications.
• Promote professional growth and development by meeting mandatory and continuing education requirements and serving as preceptor and mentor to less experienced staff.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited nursing program; or a documented degree plan and timeframe to complete a BSN.
• For Magnet‑designated or Magnet‑pursuing hospitals, a minimum of a BSN is required at the time of hire or promotion.

• Current Texas state license or temporary/compact license to practice professional nursing.
• Certification in Basic Life Support.
• Professional certification in a clinical area or management preferred.
• Additional certifications may be required based on discipline or unit requirements.

• Three (3) or more years of experience in a clinical area of practice.
• Minimum of one (1) year in a supervisory or management role.
• For a Clinical Manager II position, an additional two (2) years of supervisory or management experience (total three years).
