Job Overview

Responsibilities- Coordinate nursing care for assigned patients in the Unit to provide quality patient care.
- Apply professional nursing skills based on physical, psychological, educational, safety, and related criteria for the appropriate age populations.
- Exercise independent judgment in utilizing the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care.
- Lead cooperatively with ancillary nursing and other patient care team personnel to maintain professional nursing practice standards in the clinical setting.
- Graduated from an accredited school of nursing with an Associates or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) is preferred.
- Current Registered Nurse License in the State of Texas or Multi-State Compact License (employees with RN Compact License must obtain a Texas RN License within 90 days of hire date).
- American Heart Association BLS Certification is required.
- 1-year of clinical Med Surg experience as a licensed RN in an acute care setting is required (Medical Surgical, Telemetry, Post-Op, Post-Surgical, General Surgery).
