General Labor, Maintenance Technician / Mechanic
The position of Sweeper Operator will be instrumental in the repair and maintenance of specialized equipment used in the cleaning and maintenance of ready-mix concrete trucks, tractors, and trailers. This position requires management resources in adherence with all company standards, policies, and procedures, as well as compliance with all federal and state regulations, including OSHA, TCEQ etc.
Responsibilities- Operate the ready-mix sweeper machine, which is used to sweep and clean construction sites, roads, parking lots, and other areas.
- Perform routine maintenance on the sweeper equipment to ensure it is in working condition.
- Adhere to all safety procedures while operating the sweeper, including wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and ensuring the safety of workers in the vicinity.
- Communicate with supervisors, co-workers, and other team members to coordinate work activities effectively.
- Other duties as assigned.

- High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred.
- Minimum two years of related experience and/or a combination of both. Thorough knowledge of ready-mix sweeper and other related heavy vehicles and equipment.
- Applicant must possess a valid driver’s license and must meet MVR requirements. CDL is preferred but not required.
- Computer Skills Experience with Microsoft Office products and some ability to adapt to other computer software.
Consists of both truck shop setting, at plants and job sites. Shop environment will include suitable work areas and standard shop equipment. On site work consists of activities which include navigating heights, machinery, and exposure to elements such as dust, changes in temperature and weather. Required safety equipment will be issued and policies and procedures focused on safety will apply.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. This position requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling and climbing employee must frequently lift or move items up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift or move items up to 75 pounds. Must be able to frequently climb stairs and ladders. May occasionally deal with heights.
Must be able to safely maintain 3 points of contact when applicable.
