The substitute administrator role provides temporary coverage in an administrator position (Principal, Assistant Principal, Counselor, etc.) and supports the District's instructional program and educational philosophy on a day-to-day basis.
Responsibilities- Provide temporary coverage in an administrator position (Principal, Assistant Principal, Counselor, etc.).
- Be responsible for implementing the District's instructional program and educational philosophy in the designated subject area or grade level, in accordance with district policies and procedures on a day-to-day basis.
- Ensure regular and reliable attendance as an essential job function.
- Previous service in an Administrator role (Principal, Assistant Principal, Counselor, etc.). (Former Cy Fair Administrator experience preferred.)
- Master’s degree from a recognized, accredited college or university.
- Valid, appropriate standard administrator certification for the assignment;
Instructional Leadership Development; certified training for teacher appraisal or eligible for such preferred. - A minimum of four (4) years of successful experience as a classroom teacher.
- Visionary leadership in administration to work with faculties, families, and communities of the 21st century.
- Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to speak, read, and understand the English language.
Substitutes are employed on an at-will basis and are not considered contractual employees.
Salary$200/day - $350/day depending on assignment

Mental Demands/Physical Demands/Environmental Factors: Maintain emotional control under stress. Frequent standing, stooping, bending, pulling, and pushing. Move small stacks of textbooks, media equipment, desks, and other classroom equipment.
