Class A Driver Manager

Overview

Job Title: Operations Manager / Flex Driver (Class A CDL).

Location: Houston, TX (Travel up to 50%).

Salary Range: $70,000 – $75,000 annually.

About the Role: We are seeking a versatile and experienced Operations Manager / Flex Driver (Class

A) to support our transportation and logistics operations across multiple locations. This is a unique hybrid role combining on-site management, leadership coverage, training, and Class A driving support.

The position is based in Houston, where you will primarily support AM operations, while also being cross-trained to provide management and operational coverage in PM and Transportation Manager roles. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys leadership, hands-on operations, and travel.

Operations & Leadership:

• Serve as on-site AM management support in Houston to improve daily operational efficiency.
• Provide management coverage for PM and Transportation Manager roles across all locations as needed.
• Step in during vacations, absences, or leadership transitions to ensure continuity of operations.
• Support both AM and PM schedules based on business needs.

Training & Onboarding:

• Deliver SOS/JES training for drivers.
• Train and support new PM and Transportation Managers across all locations.
• Assist with driver orientation to ensure a smooth and consistent onboarding experience.

Driving & Route Coverage:

• Provide Class A route coverage across all locations as needed.
• Travel to support operations and reduce reliance on temporary Class A drivers.
• Maintain compliance with all DOT, safety, and company driving standards.

Facility & Compliance Oversight:

• Conduct periodic facility checks and audits across locations.
• Identify safety, compliance, or facility issues and communicate corrective actions.

Travel:

• Up to 50% travel across multiple locations.

• Valid Class A CDL

• Experience in transportation, logistics, or operations management.
• Strong leadership and training abilities.
• Flexibility to work varying schedules (AM/PM).
• Ability to travel frequently and adapt to changing operational needs.
• Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
• Bilingual (Spanish) is a plus but not required.
