JOB SUMMARY: The Shipping Supervisor is responsible for overseeing and managing all Distribution Operations, ensuring efficient handling of domestic and international shipments. This role includes direct supervision of employees, process improvement, and compliance with company policies and industry regulations. The Supervisor will also be responsible for monitoring key performance metrics, coordinating with internal departments, and ensuring on-time, accurate order fulfillment.
Job Duties- Supervises and manages employee activities within the Shipping Department, providing coaching, performance evaluations, and disciplinary actions as necessary.
- Develops and enforces shipping procedures to ensure all released orders are shipped accurately and on time. Monitors reports and KPIs to assess performance and drive improvements.
- Plans and delegates workload within the Shipping Department to optimize efficiency and meet operational deadlines.
- Oversees and audits order fulfillment, ensuring committed inventory is pulled and verified accurately against released sales orders.
- Ensures compliance with quality standards in packing and shipping processes, implementing corrective actions as needed.
- Manages and oversees all shipping transactions and confirmations in the ERP system, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Establishes and tracks department goals in collaboration with upper management, implementing improvements to enhance efficiency.
- Leads investigations related to quality issues, shipping complaints, and process improvements, working closely with Warehouse and Material Control teams.

- Collaborates with Customer Service and QA to resolve escalated shipping issues and improve customer satisfaction.
- Transfers, transports and stages materials in a timely and accurate manner.
- Contacts carriers to pickup sales orders, as required or requested.
- Ensures compliance with company policies, industry regulations, and safety standards. Maintains proper documentation and reporting.
- Manages inventory levels of shipping supplies, forecasting needs to prevent stock outs and minimize expedited supply costs.
- Operates a lift truck or pallet jack, as required.
- Provides leadership and training for the shipping team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and accountability.
- Enforces safety standards and participates in safety initiatives, ensuring a secure working environment for all associates.
- Other duties may be assigned.
- 3 - 5 years of leadership experience in shipping, logistics, or warehouse management
- Ability to develop and enforce policies and procedures to improve efficiency and compliance.
- Advanced proficiency in ERP systems, reporting, and data analysis.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, with strong analytical and decision-making skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
- Experience working with parcel & freight carriers.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Able to thrive in a team environment.
- Ability to provide a high level of service to internal and external customers / suppliers.
- High School diploma or equivalent
Job Requirements / Working Conditions
- Able to lift up to 50 lbs on a regular basis; up to 75 lbs occasionally

Pay Range: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
