Job Responsibilities:
- Prepare and process journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial statements to ensure accurate and timely reporting.
- Lead sales and use tax compliance efforts to ensure adherence to tax regulations.
- Conduct variance analysis, identify trends, and provide insights to support financial decision-making.
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy in financial operations.
- Maintain the fixed asset schedule, calculate depreciation expense, and ensure compliance with asset management policies.
- Organize and maintain accurate financial records for efficient retrieval and analysis.
- Assist with treasury functions, including bank statement updates, retail collection reports, and borrowing base certifications.
- Collaborate with external auditors on financial and bank audits, including inventory valuation assessments.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 5-7 years of progressive accounting experience, including at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Advanced Excel) and accounting software.
- Strong understanding of GAAP, financial reporting, and tax regulations. Experience with financial analysis, budgeting, and forecasting.
- Developed and managed annual budgets and forecasts. Analyzed variances and provided insights to management.
- Coordinated internal and external audits. Ensured adherence to internal controls and compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills. Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
