Job Description

The Distribution Center Coordinator is responsible for providing support and responding to emerging operational needs. They coordinate with management to ensure the efficient and effective operations of all Distribution Center employees and oversee the shipment and delivery of sales orders that meet or exceed customer expectations, company policies, goals, and objectives. The work schedule may include on‑call responsibilities and occasional evenings or weekends to address emergency issues.

Responsibilities
  • Coordinate shift activities with the management team and planning department to achieve Distribution Center objectives in a timely, cost‑effective manner.
  • Provide leadership and direction for employees through communication, mentoring, coaching, training, and development.
  • Assist management in root cause analysis, problem solving, and elimination of recurring issues.
  • Ensure all safety procedures, practices, and regulations are followed to foster a positive safety culture.
  • Resolve employee issues using problem‑resolution techniques.
  • Escalate issues to management in a timely manner.
  • Schedule and coordinate inbound/outbound shipments daily.
  • Picks and packs materials for sales orders.
  • Loads and unloads using forklift and/or pallet jack.
  • Validate quality and accuracy of all sales orders.
  • Perform inventory management (transfers, cycle counting, adjustments, etc.).
  • Assist with planning, budgeting, and compliance standards, policies, and procedures.
  • Support personnel actions, including hiring, performance appinstant, promotions, transfers, vacation schedules, and training.
  • Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Experience in an industrial warehouse environment with knowledge of related practices.
  • Demonstrates a high level of customer service.
  • Proven leader and team player with a strong work ethic.
  • Ability to work safely in a highly automated environment and ensure employee safety.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast‑paced, high‑volume setting with strong attention to detail.

  • Willingness to learn new skills and apply them daily.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and computer skills.
