Apartment Maintenance Technicians are responsible with overseeing the day-to-day operations of our apartment buildings. The apartment maintenance technician's responsibilities include performing ad hoc painting, electrical, plumbing and carpentry duties. This mainly includes resolving tenants' maintenance-related queries and complaints as they arise. As an employee who will likely be working in occupied units a majority of the time, good customer service skills are necessary.

Additionally, apartment maintenance technicians will remain abreast of technological advances that could facilitate their functions in this role. This role may include, but is not limited to the following responsibilities:

• Oiling door knobs, locks, hinges, and gates, as required.
• Repairing and unclogging toilets, sinks, bathtubs, showers, and exterior drains.
• Installing and repairing wires, plugs, and switches.
• Painting communal areas and exterior walls.
• Tracking inventory to ensure that you have adequate maintenance supplies.
• Ensuring that fire extinguishers, hydrants, alarms, and emergency exits remain in excellent working condition at all times.

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Prior experience as an apartment maintenance technician or in a similar role.
• HVAC, CMRP, or equivalent certification preferred, but not necessary.
• Ability to stand for extended periods.
• Ability to lift up to 70 pounds without assistance.
• Dexterity and attention to detail.
• Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills.
• Available to work on weekends, if required.

Job Type: Full-time

Schedule will be during the hours of:

• 8:30am-4:30pm Monday to Friday
• Overtime as required

Ability to commute/relocate to Cuyahoga Falls, OH 44221:
Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)
