Base Pay

Minimum base pay $15.00 per hour with higher starting pay available based on experience.

Floor & Decor’s Sales Associates play a key role in continuously providing customers with friendly, accurate service and support in finding products to complete their project. Our Sales Associates contribute to a fast‑pace, safe environment by keeping sales departments clean and well stocked. • Connect with customers, ask about their projects, recommend products and excite them about their purchase.
• Provide above and beyond customer service and exceed expectations when assisting customers.
• Maintain in‑stock condition of assigned areas and ensure they are clean, shoppable and safe.
• Work in cooperation with management and team members to achieve sales goals.
• Process customers at checkout using point of sale (POS) system.
• Process customer refunds and exchanges according to established guidelines.
• Follow established cash, check and credit card acceptance procedures.
• Create price tags and merchandise signs; stock, tag and display merchandise.
• Act and work in a manner consistent with the company’s core values.
• Demonstrate and understand compliance with the company’s safety processes.
• Answer telephone according to company guidelines.
• Be available to assist in other areas of the store as needed.
• Work in a fast‑pace environment with accuracy.

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Basic math skills.
• Customer service experience.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks and work well under pressure.
• Some positions may require completion of forklift certifications through F&D.
• Where permissible by state law, certification to use heavy equipment requires successful passing of a drug test.

• Employee is occasionally exposed to a warehouse environment and moving vehicles; noise level typically quiet to moderate.

• Ability to exert 30–60 pounds of force occasionally, 20–30 pounds frequently, or 20 pounds constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects.
• Often required to use hands and fingers; handle or feel items.
• Frequently required to stand, walk, reach with arms and hands, climb or balance, and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
