Responsibilities

• Maintain visibility and command presence at store entrances and high-risk areas; greet customers and associates with a confident, friendly greeting.
• Monitor for opportunities for theft and report incidents to the Manager on Duty.
• Apply knowledge of shortage reduction programs and participate in store loss prevention activities.
• Assist in training associates on shortage reduction processes and model safety best practices.
• Communicate effectively about theft prevention during store rallies and with the Manager on Duty.
• Support the store and field leadership by identifying and reporting suspicious activity.

Knowledge and Skills

• Knowledge of top shortage areas and theft prevention programs.
• Strong communication skills with customers and co-workers.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise disciplined decision making in a fast-paced environment.

Experience and Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience in customer service, hospitality, retail, Asset Protection, Loss Prevention, or Operations is preferred.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods and visually monitor the store environment.
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays as required.

Benefits and Compensation

• Base Pay: $13.00 per hour
• Part-time associates may be eligible for Burlington’s benefits package (medical coverage, 401(k), etc.) based on hours worked.
