Registered Nurse (RN) - Intensive Care Unit (ICU)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Patient Care: Provide direct, high-quality nursing care to critically ill or unstable patients in the ICU.
  • Assessment & Monitoring: Continuously assess patient conditions, monitor vital signs, and intervene as necessary to stabilize and improve patient health.
  • Collaboration: Work collaboratively with physicians, respiratory therapists, and other healthcare professionals to deliver coordinated care plans.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate and thorough patient records, ensuring compliance with all hospital and regulatory guidelines.
  • Emergency Response: Quickly respond to medical emergencies, applying advanced nursing skills and techniques in critical situations.
  • Family Communication: Offer clear and compassionate communication with patients' families, providing updates and answering questions regarding treatment plans.

    Education:

    Educate patients and families on post-care procedures, discharge plans, and follow-up care.
  • Quality Care: Uphold the hospital's commitment to high standards of care, patient safety, and clinical excellence.

Required Qualifications:

  • Current RN License in the state of Ohio.
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in ICU or critical care nursing preferred; however, new grads with a strong clinical background will be considered.
  • BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certifications required.
  • BSN (Bachelor of Science in Nursing) preferred.
  • Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Compassionate, patient-centered approach to care.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Additional certifications such as CCRN (Certified Critical Care Nurse).
  • Experience with advanced ICU technologies and equipment.
  • Prior experience in a high-acuity ICU setting.
