Maintenance Technician

Prospect Mold and Die is looking for a motivated individual who is detail oriented to fill a full time Maintenance position in our Cuyahoga Falls location. Maintenance Technicians are responsible for efficient and safe operation of all areas of the plant. The maintenance technician is tasked with supporting all aspects of the maintenance organization, performing preventative maintenance on CNC Machines, troubleshooting malfunctioning CNC Machines and equipment and performing repairs.

Work is done in conjunction with all functional departments. Work is often subject to time and deadline pressures which may include off shift work and emergency call in work.

DUTIES:

• Ensure all projects have a sense of urgency.
• Unscheduled troubleshooting and repairs of industrial machinery, including CNC equipment.
• Perform preventive/routine maintenance on assigned equipment within the facility such as inspecting drives, motors and belts, checking fluids, replacing filters and other PM actions.
• Facility maintenance including plumbing, electrical, pneumatics and basic HVAC.
• Diagnose mechanical and electrical problems on CNC machines and determine how to correct them, checking blueprints, manuals, electrical drawings and contacting OEMs when necessary.
• Maintain a clean work area and a positive attitude.
• Perform general cleaning of building and property when time allows.
• Must perform machine calibrations to ensure straightness, level and accuracy.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in an industrial maintenance position.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in CNC machine repair/maintenance.
• Industrial electrical experience/knowledge 24
  
  Vdc to 480V three phase.
• Experience troubleshooting and repairing industrial manufacturing machinery.
• Must possess the ability to work effectively with others and work independently.
• Knowledge of Heidenhain controls a plus.
• Strong communication and organization skills.
