The Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) Manager is responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing programs that ensure a safe, healthy, and environmentally compliant workplace. This role supports organizational goals by promoting a strong safety culture, minimizing risk, and ensuring compliance with applicable regulations and internal standards.
The EHS Manager leads the planning, execution, and continuous improvement of safety, health, and environmental programs across assigned locations or operations. This includes identifying hazards, conducting risk assessments, developing policies and procedures, delivering training, and monitoring compliance. The role works closely with operations, engineering, HR, and leadership teams to integrate EHS into daily business activities.
Key responsibilities include managing incident investigations, tracking safety performance, supporting regulatory inspections, and driving corrective actions. The EHS Manager also oversees environmental programs such as waste management, emissions control, and permitting, while maintaining accurate records and reporting. Through coaching, auditing, and continuous improvement efforts, the EHS Manager helps ensure employees go home safely each day and the organization meets its regulatory and sustainability obligations.
