Apple Inc. has positions available in Cupertino, California and various other U.S. locations. Work with multi‑functional teams to support product requirements for the iPhone, iPad, Apple Watch, Apple TV, and Mac. Focus on system software, device drivers, firmware, and overall system architecture. Conduct bring‑up, verification, and debugging of new hardware platforms. Develop firmware and drivers, drive product features and functional/industry specifications, participate in hardware platform specifications, triage issues to identify and solve critical product blockers, and develop tooling to increase developer efficiency and ease of software/hardware maintenance.

The role is 40 hours per week.

Base pay ranges from $149,365 to $220,900 per year, based on skills, qualifications, experience, and location.

• Bachelor’s Degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science or related field.
• Experience and/or education must include:
• Using C and C++ to develop embedded system firmware and device driver code.
• Utilizing knowledge of hardware platforms and processor architectures to develop embedded systems.
• Using hardware and software debuggers, including JTAG and GDB, to debug embedded systems.
• Using operating systems knowledge to develop kernel.
• Using assembly language in ARM or x86 to develop boot loader/startup code.
• Using algorithms and data structures to develop embedded applications.
• Utilizing scripting languages and tools, including Python and git, for code development.
