The Siri Communications App Experiences team at Apple is seeking a hands-on Engineering Manager to lead the development of Siri’s customer facing experiences across Apple platforms. This is a high impact leadership role at the center of conversational and transactional experiences used by millions of people every day. You will define a compelling product vision, build a thoughtful roadmap, and guide a talented engineering team to bring that vision to life.

Description

We’re looking for a technical leader who pairs strong engineering depth with a passion for crafting exceptional user experiences. As the Engineering Manager for Siri Communications Experiences, you will:

  • Hire, lead, and develop a high-performing team of software engineers
  • Define and execute a multi-year technical and product vision for Siri’s Comm Apps features (e.g. Messages, Phone, Payment, Mail)
  • Own the delivery and evolution of customer-facing experiences across iOS (including Car Play and Air Pods), macOS, watch

    OS, vision

    OS, tvOS, and Home Pod
  • Maintain and improve existing features while driving the development of new intents and innovative capabilities
  • Act as a hands on technical leader, contributing to architecture and solving complex engineering challenges
  • Partner closely with cross‑functional teams including design, product, AI/ML, and platform engineering
  • Use data and analytics to inform prioritization, measure customer impact, and guide investment decisions. This role requires a balance of strategic thinking, product intuition, and technical excellence. You should be comfortable zooming out to define long term direction and zooming in to ensure high quality execution.
Minimum Qualifications
  • BS/MS degree in Computer Science or equivalent degree/experience
  • 5+ years of industry experience building and leading a team of high-performing software engineers
  • Leadership skills necessary to build, manage and develop a team around a unified vision
  • Ability to create and execute on a multi-year technical and product feature vision
  • Social communication skills with expertise in distilling complicated topics to a broader audience
  • In-depth development experience with client-side applications and systems
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with search systems, conversational platforms, or agentic architectures
  • Experience with AI technologies, including natural language processing and machine learning
  • Strong hands-on experience with Swift, Swift

    UI, Objective-C, and Apple platform technologies
  • Experience delivering user facing features in a product engineering leadership role
  • Passion for building intuitive, high-quality customer experiences at scale

At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $198,300 and $342,800, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.

Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple’s discretionary employee stock programs. Apple employees are eligible for discretionary restricted stock unit awards, and can purchase Apple stock at a discount if voluntarily participating in Apple’s Employee Stock Purchase Plan.
