The people here at Apple don't just build products — they craft the kind of wonder that has revolutionized entire industries.

The Graphics, Games & Machine Learning team is looking for a self-motivated Test Engineer with expertise in both testing strategy and automation development to help shape our next generation products. This role requires an energetic and motivated individual with strong communication, organization, and technical skills who works well in a fast-paced dynamic environment.

Description

The Graphics, Games and Machine Learning Test Engineering organization is seeking an expert, self-motivated Test Engineer with a real passion for making the GPU and graphics experience on our products the best it can be. You will work with emerging GPU technologies at Apple, ensuring that we successfully bring these technologies to our customers at the industry‑leading bar we've established.

In this role, you will wear multiple hats; driving comprehensive test strategy, developing test automation, and building tools to support both new HW and SW features. You will be responsible for Quality Leadership;
Drive effective QA conversations with cross‑functional teams to develop comprehensive test plans and test cases for GPU Driver and Metal testing. Act as a quality warrior, championing excellence throughout the development lifecycle.

Strategic Testing; design and execute presubmission testing for GPU Drivers, ensuring critical issues are caught before integration. Develop test strategies that balance manual exploratory testing with automated coverage.

Innovation in Testing; be proactive in developing AI‑enabled testing methodologies and novel approaches to validate the software components that make up the GPU driver stack. Think creatively about how to expand test coverage and automation effectiveness.

Automation Development; build, maintain, and enhance automation frameworks and tools that enable scalable, reliable testing. Develop sophisticated test automation to support both new HW and SW features.

As a successful candidate, you should have a strong aptitude for learning new technologies, excellent interpersonal and communication skills, and the ability to drive sophisticated and challenging projects. You should be equally comfortable discussing test strategy with stakeholders as you are writing code to automate complex test scenarios. Strong collaboration with engineering teams and an ability to thrive under pressure are key skills required to succeed in this role.
