As a Senior iOS Engineer on the team, you will be a key technical leader, driving the architectural design, implementation, and evolution of core features for next-generation News and Stocks experiences. You will thrive in a dynamic environment, balancing deep technical execution with critical thinking across complex systems, while rapidly prototyping innovative ideas and establishing robust, forward-looking architectural foundations.

The ideal candidate possesses extensive experience with Swift, a deep understanding of Apple’s ecosystem, and a strong passion for delivering high-quality software. You will collaborate closely with a team of dedicated engineers, designers, and domain experts to build new features, enhance existing applications, and deliver reliable, high-performing software, creating user-delighting features while laying a strong technical foundation for future development. Strong engineering, collaboration, and leadership skills are essential to success in this role.

• 6+ years of iOS software engineering experience with Swift/Swift
  
  UI or UIKit/App Kit
• Strong mastery of software architecture, object-oriented design, design patterns, data structures, and algorithms
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent industry experience
• Proven track record of technical excellence, setting a high bar for code quality, documentation, and engineering best practices
  
  Ability to break down complex features into practical, scalable, and implementable solutions
• Expertise in identifying and resolving iOS performance bottlenecks, including memory management and power efficiency
• Experience technically leading projects, mentoring engineers, and driving cross-functional initiatives from concept to delivery
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in highly collaborative environments

• Track record of developing products that have a focus on delivering an exceptional user experience
• Experience working on large-scale, multi-team, cross-functional projects

At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $181,100 and $318,400, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
