Join our Wireless Technologies and Ecosystems (WTE) organization to be part of an outstanding team of engineers passionate about driving innovation and enriching experiences for millions of customers worldwide. The Wireless Software team is looking for an exceptional software engineer to deploy ML experiences and develop sophisticated telemetry frameworks for wireless products. ML-powered features & analytics frameworks you build enable analytics, diagnostics, product experimentation, modem performance & usage characterization, and anomaly identification & mitigation techniques to track, analyze, and improve the wireless experience across all Apple products.

In this role, you’ll be responsible for shipping exciting Wireless features powered by Data & Machine Learning. Your work will encompass the entire ML lifecycle, from secure and efficient data collection to model training and deployment on devices, utilizing state-of-the-art Apple AI/ML frameworks.

• Design and deploy Machine Learning models for optimized wireless experience on Apple products leveraging tools like CoreML, Create
  
  ML, and Py Torch
• Develop on-device and crowd-sourced learning frameworks to improve wireless product experience
• Use product experimentation and A/B testing frameworks to validate machine learning model deployments
• Design and develop Analytics module running on-device to aggregate and correlate features across the wireless software stack

• 5+ years of professional experience developing Machine Learning models for commercial products
• Strong proficiency in Python and ML frameworks like PyTorch for data pre-processing, ML model training, and fine-tuning
• Strong understanding of Machine Learning Fundamentals, LLM / NLP Concepts
• Understanding of and passion for data/AI-powered software features and product quality
• Experience prototyping and shipping customer-facing features on embedded systems
• Experience with scalable and cross-layer system design

• 8+ years of professional experience delivering ML-powered software features & applications
• Working experience in one or more of the following domains in Neural Networks:
  Deep Reinforcement Learning, Transformer, Transfer Learning, Online Learning, CNN, RNN etc
• Professional background in wireless technologies such as cellular (5G/6G) and connectivity (WIFI/BT) standards / protocols
• Ability to work well both independently and within a team
• Excellent communication and presentation skills

At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $147,400 and $272,100, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
