for our camp serving children and adults with disabilities

Compensation:
Pre-Summer Part Time 25 hours a week (April-May): $2884.62 bi-weekly pay

Compensation: for Full Time Summer (June-August):$4615.38 bi-weekly Pay
Summer Dates:

April 2026 - August 26th 2026

* This position will start part time (25/hrs a week) prior to the start of our camp season (May 31,2026) and commitment for all the above dates is required for this role*

The Health Services Manager oversees all aspects of camp healthcare operations (day and overnight) ensuring a safe, organized, compassionate, and efficient system of care for campers and staff. This leader integrates clinical knowledge with strong administrative, supervisory, and communication skills. The role requires a balance of big-picture planning, risk management, daily oversight, and hands-on support for an overnight camp program.

The Health Services Manager plays a key role in cultivating a culture of wellness, coordinating emergency response, supervising/leading nursing staff, and ensuring camp is aligned with state regulations and ACA standards. This position offers the opportunity to lead meaningful work that directly impacts camper success, staff confidence, and the overall camp community.

About the Role
  • Oversee daily and overnight operations of the health center, ensuring high standards of care, cleanliness, organization, and documentation.
  • Supervise, support, and schedule nursing staff, health care trainees, and volunteers.
  • Lead health and safety planning, including risk management strategies and emergency protocols.
  • Partner with camp leadership to manage communicable disease prevention, response planning, and policy implementation.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for families regarding medical concerns, pre-camp health planning, and follow-up communication.
Clinical & Operational Oversight
  • Coordinate all medication management systems, including intake, storage, distribution, and documentation.
  • Ensure compliance with state regulations, ACA health standards, and camp policies.
  • Review camper and staff health forms prior to arrival; identify special considerations and develop care plans.
