Reliability Lab Display Technician – Job Description
As a Reliability Lab Display Technician, you will be responsible for setting up test equipment and fixtures, performing data collection, and reporting results. This role supports hardware reliability validation of consumer products, with a strong focus on display testing. The lab is a fast‑paced, hands‑on environment where technicians are expected to be self‑motivated and able to manage multiple tasks.
Technicians will perform a variety of hardware stress and reliability tests, including environmental testing (temperature and humidity), thermal cycling, vibration, shock, and drop testing. A significant portion of the role involves repetitive display‑focused testing, where accuracy and consistency in data collection are critical to maintaining test integrity.
Key Qualifications- Exceptional attention to detail with strong written and verbal communication skills
- Basic understanding of physics and electronics
- Experience using common handheld and bench‑top electronic tools such as multimeters and power supplies
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a lab environment
- Willingness to complete additional training or certifications as needed
- Perform hardware reliability and stress testing on consumer products, with an emphasis on display testing
- Execute environmental, vibration, shock, and drop tests to validate product durability
- Conduct repetitive display validation tests while maintaining accurate and consistent data collection
- Set up and operate mechanical and electronic lab equipment
- Capture and report test data and provide regular updates to engineers
Bachelor of Science or two years of equivalent experience preferred; familiarity with test engineering fundamentals is beneficial.
