• Manage daily output baking, production, and display of bakery products.
• Supervise and monitor product quality and consistency, track inventory, and manage the bakery’s budget.
• Evaluate department conditions and operations to determine strengths and areas for improvement; develop improved practices and procedures.
• Ensure company safety, proper food handling practices, sanitation, and productivity standards are maintained.
• Correctly order, receive, unload, and store bakery items.
• Execute rotation of merchandise and build displays.
• Manage inventory, in‑stocks, pricing integrity, merchandising, labor, and other operational processes to Sprouts standards.
• Plan and order according to company standards to maximize sales and gross profit.
• Engage and evaluate team members through coaching, feedback, and one‑on‑one development discussions; recommend merit increases via bi‑annual performance reviews.
• Participate in in‑store meetings and communicate standards, expectations, policy changes, and product knowledge to team members.
• Recruit, hire, and make promotion/transfer decisions in collaboration with the Store Manager.
• Address Team Member concerns with independent judgment; take and document corrective actions in collaboration with HR partners as needed.
• Create and adjust schedules and staffing levels to ensure maximum productivity and efficiency.
• Lead a team that collaborates to deliver the finest quality of product and the highest level of service.
• Act as a Key Carrier for the store and/or serve as Manager on Duty (MOD) as needed.

• At least 18 years of age with a minimum of 2 years of retail grocery experience.
• Dependable and able to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Outgoing and friendly behavior with a positive attitude toward team members and customers.
• Strong communication skills and ability to give and receive direction in a team environment.
• Can handle phones and take special orders.
• Perform general housekeeping in the department; clean and sanitize work areas.
• Operate and use knives, scales, wrappers, compactors, garbage disposals, pallet jacks, and hand trucks; accurately weigh and label products.
• Stand for up to 3 hours continuously; lift and transfer trays up to 5 lbs., and move items up to 40 lbs. over distances up to 36 ft. without mechanical assistance.
• Adhere to all safety, health, and weights‑and‑measures regulations; maintain a Food Handlers permit.
• Possess a working knowledge of personnel reports, margin reports, weekly sales numbers, and financial goals.
