Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Pre-Operative Registered Nurse (Pre-Op RN) to join our healthcare team in Lawrenceville, Georgia. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing patients for surgical procedures by performing assessments, providing education, and ensuring a safe and comfortable pre-operative experience.

• Conduct pre-operative assessments and verify patient information, medical history, and surgical instructions.
• Prepare patients physically and emotionally for surgery, ensuring all necessary forms and consents are completed.
• Administer prescribed medications and start IV lines as required.
• Monitor vital signs and report any abnormal findings to the surgical team.
• Collaborate closely with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and surgical staff to ensure smooth patient flow.
• Provide clear pre-operative and post-operative education to patients and families.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in patient records.
• Adhere to all hospital and regulatory safety protocols and infection control standards.

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) License in the state of Georgia (or Compact State).
• BLS and ACLS certifications (required).
• Minimum 1–2 years of recent experience in Pre-Operative or Surgical Nursing.
• Excellent assessment, communication, and critical thinking skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast‑paced surgical environment.
