ResponsibilitiesThe Monitor Technician Intern works under the supervision of a Registered Professional Nurse (RN) or experienced Monitor Tech, learning how to analyze and interpret rhythm strips, provide on-going surveillance of patient cardiac monitors/remote telemetry and provide RN's and/or clinicians with immediate notification of any changes in cardiac rhythms.
Required- High school diploma, equivalent education (GED) or post-secondary education.
- Must hold American Heart Association Basic Life Support certification
- Knowledge of basic cardiac anatomy/physiology and medical terminology.
- Previous health care experience.
