Provides nursing assistance and patient care to ensure the comfort, safety, and personal needs of patients. Assists patients with activities of daily living and performs procedures for physical hygiene and comfort. Performs duties within a unit-based, self-directed patient care team while sharing various tasks with other licensed and non-licensed members.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES/LICENSE OR CERTIFICATION REQUIRED

High School diploma or equivalent

Must hold American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS)

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES/LICENSE OR CERTIFICATION PREFERRED

Listed on the Georgia Registry as a Certified Nursing Assistant

One (1) year of experience as a Patient Care Technician

Visual color acuity depending on the role in specific units.
